Tuesday, August 1—Pre-Operator School Workshops
Troubleshooting the Activated Sludge Process and Biological Nutrient Removal
This full day class is being provided by Burns and McDonnell Engineering and will cover activated sludge, trouble shooting the activated sludge process and biological nutrient removal. This will be an excellent class for wastewater operators working in the day to day operations of an activated sludge plant.
Water, Wastewater Operators and Supervisors Orientation
This full day class provided by KDHE and the operator certification staff will cover all aspects that each operator and supervisor should know about the operator certification program. This class is a must for all newer operators, Operators-in-training and supervisors that are assisting operators through the operator training, certification, renewal and inspection process.
Collection and Distribution Safety
This full day class will be provided by Kansas Municipal Utilities and will cover the safety aspects that a collection and distribution operator needs to stay safe out in the field. Even seasoned operators working in the field need to keep up on safety regulations and the equipment needed to protect themselves and their co-workers.
